Synthesis and characterization of ultrahigh crystalline Ti[O.sub.2] nanotubes
Article Abstract:
Ultrahigh crystalline Ti[O.sub.2] nanotubes (TiNT-[H.sub.2][O.sub.2]) were synthesized by controlled hydrogen peroxide treatment of very low crystalline titania nanotubes prepared with synthesized Ti[O.sub.2] nanoparticles by hydrothermal methods in an aqueous solution. The prepared (TiNT-[H.sub.2][O.sub.2]) showed comparable crystallinity with high crystalline Ti[O.sub.2] nanoparticles and it was found to be a multiwalled anatase phase with photocatalytic activity of about 2-fold higher than those of TiNT as prepared.

Photoluminescence properties of a perfluorinated supramolecular columnar liquid crystal with a pyrene core: Effects of the ordering and orientation of the columns
Article Abstract:
The effects of the alignment and ordering of pi-conjugated perfluorinated dendrimers containing pyrene moieties in their cores on their photoluminescence (PL) properties is investigated. Results reveal that variation of the cooling rate of the dendrimers produces variation in their orientation and ordering.

Patterning of single-wall carbon nanotubes via a combined technique (Chemical anchoring and photolithography) on patterned substrates
Article Abstract:
Single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) are chemically attached with high density onto a patterned substrate. Scanning electron microscopy and UV-vis-near-IR results show that the patterned SWNT films have uniform coverage with high surface density.
